Germany, Breisach, September 13, 2004 - With its new takeMS MEM-Drive USB 2.0 Mini, Memorysolution, Germany’s leading memory specialist, has added a practical memory solution that hangs from your key chain to its range of takeMS Flash products.

The light MEM-Drive which weighs13 g and measures just 56 x 17 x 9 mm [LxHxW] is only half as large as its predecessor. Simple plug & play functionality via a USB interface makes it quick and easy to use with notebooks, PCs and Macs.

With data transfer rates of up to 480 Mbit/sec, the bootable MEM-Drive offers the latest USB 2.0 high-speed technology (USB 1.1 compatible). This makes possible to transfer larger quantities of data quickly to your MEM-Drive. And, over its entire life span, you can transfer data up to one million times. Read and write operations are displayed by LED.

In the area of data security, the MEM-Drive offers write protection and password protection via administrative rights. The silver metal piece rotates to cover the plug and protect it from mechanical influences.

The MEM-Drive runs without an additional driver on Windows 2000, XP, Mac OS 8.6 and higher and Linux starting at Kernel 2.4. For operation on Windows 98/SE, Linux Redhat and SuSe 7.1, the supplied driver must be installed.

The takeMS MEM-Drive is available in capacities ranging from 64 MB to 1 GB. Included with purchase are a handy key chain with strap and a driver CD including manual. Memorysolution offers a 5-year warranty on all takeMS Flash products. Prices upon request.
