Germany, Breisach, August 09, 2004 . Memorysolution, Germany’s leading memory specialist, is adding two new Flash Card formats to its portfolio of takeMS brand products. These formats are ideally suited for use in super compact multimedia devices such as digital cameras, MP3 recorders or organizers and smartphones. With a border measuring just 21.5x20 mm in length, the new takeMS mini SD Card is only as large as a postage stamp. It’s almost not even worth mentioning that it only weighs 1 g. Even more impressive is its available memory capacity of up to 256 MB which is enough for either four hours of music in MP3 format or 160,000 book pages. The new takeMS RS MultiMediaCard also hooks users with its reduced dimensions (24x18 mm): after all, RS stands for “reduced size”. Compared to the MultiMediaCard available up to now, the border has been considerably reduced. However, there is still memory capacity available from 32 to 256 MB. A practical adapter is included with both cards so that they are compatible with today’s standard slots if necessary.

In addition to the fact that the new miniature memory cards are even smaller, making use even more universal, they also have a data transfer rate of 2.5 MBps equal to that of “large” Flash Cards and are extremely robust from a mechanical standpoint, allowing them to be used or stored at extremely cold (up to 25 degrees Celsius) or hot (up to 85 degrees Celsius) temperatures and also tolerates a high level of humidity (up to 95 percent) without data being lost or the card not functioning. The takeMS mini SD Card is available with capacities of 128 and 256 MB from qualified retailers. The takeMS RS MultiMediaCard is also available in models with 128 and 256 MB of memory capacity. Memorysolution offers a 5-year warranty on all takeMS Flash Cards.
